Products and Product Information

We aim to provide accurate information about every product offered on our website, including its brand, model, storage capacity, colour, condition, price and availability where applicable.

Products may be new, pre-owned or otherwise condition-graded. The condition applicable to a product will be identified in the product listing.

Customers should review the full product description before purchasing.

Where an item is described as an Apple, Samsung, Oppo, Huawei or other branded product, the brand name is used to identify the product being sold. We do not knowingly offer counterfeit products or present third-party compatible products as genuine products of another brand.

Compatible or third-party accessories should be identified as compatible, third-party or by their own manufacturer brand.

Product Images

We aim to use images that accurately represent the products sold.

For products where colour, cosmetic condition, packaging or accessories may vary, images may be representative. The written product description and stated condition form part of the product information customers should review before purchase.

Pricing

Prices displayed on our website are in New Zealand dollars unless stated otherwise.

Any applicable delivery charge will be disclosed before the customer completes checkout.

We may change prices from time to time. A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted and paid for, except where there has been an obvious pricing or technical error.

Availability

Products are subject to availability.

We make reasonable efforts to keep website inventory information current. If an item becomes unavailable after an order is placed, we will contact the customer and provide an appropriate solution, which may include a replacement option or refund.

We do not intentionally advertise products that we know we cannot supply.

Orders

Submitting an order does not necessarily mean it has been accepted.

An order is accepted when payment has been successfully processed and the order is confirmed for fulfilment.

We may contact a customer if we need additional information to process an order or if we identify an error relating to availability, pricing, payment or delivery information.

Payment

Available payment options are displayed during checkout.

Buy-now-pay-later or finance services, where offered, are provided by the relevant third-party payment provider and are subject to that provider's eligibility criteria, approval process and terms.

Shipping and Delivery

Shipping charges, delivery procedures and estimated delivery information are set out in our Shipping Policy.

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address.

Returns, Refunds and Exchanges

Returns, refunds and exchanges are handled in accordance with our Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy and applicable New Zealand consumer law.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights customers may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable New Zealand consumer legislation.

Consumer Guarantees

Products purchased for normal personal or household use may be protected by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Those statutory rights apply independently of any manufacturer or store warranty.

Repairs

Repair services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill.

Where inspection or diagnosis is required before a final repair price can be determined, this will be communicated to the customer.

Trade-Ins

Trade-in valuations may depend on the model, storage capacity, functionality, cosmetic condition and other characteristics of the device.

An initial estimate may change following physical inspection.

Customers must have the legal right to trade in the device presented to us.

Third-Party Brands

Apple, Samsung, Oppo, Huawei and other brand names and trademarks displayed on the website belong to their respective owners.

Unless expressly stated and independently verifiable, HotSpot Electronics does not claim to be an official, authorised or endorsed partner of those brand owners.

Errors and Website Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and available.

From time to time, technical errors, typographical errors or temporary website interruptions may occur. Where we identify an error affecting an order, we will contact the customer and take reasonable steps to correct it.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
